US History Week of November 9 - 13

This week we finished the material for Domain 4. We will have the unit test on Tuesday. I also explained the Propaganda Project and assigned posters to those who chose the "analyzing existing posters" project. The completed projects are due Friday, November 20. Be sure you keep all of the quizzes we have had during this unit, because most of the multiple choice questions from the quizzes are also on the unit test.

Algebra 1 Week of Nov 9 - 13

This week, we focused on graphing equations and inequalities. We started with graphing equations in slope intercept form, then standard form.  We completed Two skills checks on graphing linear equations. We learned how to solve and graph inequalities with one and  two variables. Expect a quiz on solving equations by the end of the week. Notes and practice on solving and graphing inequalities is attached.

US History Week of November 2 - 6

We have been focusing on WWII this week. We took notes on WWII, watched the America: The Story of Us episode about WWII, and began the propaganda poster project for WWII. It will be due the Friday before the Thanksgiving Break. We also took the Between the Wars Quiz on Tuesday. Our next quiz will be next Tuesday over WWII. Today (Thursday)  we began discussing the Cold War and began a mini Q on the Korean War. Tomorrow, we will complete the mini-Q, continue with Cold War notes, and review for the WWII quiz.

Algebra 1 Week of November 2 - 6

On Monday we worked in pairs to complete an equation solving activity. Today we discussed the properties of equations and will continue with properties tomorrow. You will have class time to complete a project in which you will choose equations to solve to earn a total of 100 points of various difficulty levels. You will need to create a poster using bulletin board paper or poster paper illustrating the most difficult problem that you solved and the explanation of each step

On Thursday we completed our posters and turned in the projects with rubrics attached. We went over the smartboard notes for graphing linear equations using two methods. Tomorrow, we will continue with graphing linear equations.
