US History Week of Dec. 7 - 11
Monday and Tuesday was the EOC. In class, we did USA Testprep exercises and started to watch the movie Freedom Writers. We will begin the final exam review on Friday by playing a Bingo review game. We're going to try 6 x 6 Bingo and see how it works. Next Monday, Dec. 14 will be my father and his friend, Gene, talking to us about the Vietnam War. Dr. Giles is also planning to come. Tuesday and Wednesday will be review of Domain 5 and a DBQ on Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.
Algebra 1 Week of Dec 7 - 11
We have been working on writing and solving linear equation word problems, inequality word problems, and system of equations word problems. We will have a short quiz on Monday. The final exam will be a unit test on 2A. It will be on Thursday for both 1st and 2nd blocks.

US History Week of Nov 30 - Dec 4
This is the last week before the EOC on Monday, December 7 and Tuesday, December 8. The EOC will begin first block in the ESOL lab (2009). We have spent the week so far reviewing with USA Testprep activities, EOC review questions, Jeopardy, and a timeline. Friday, we will continue to review with several activities. Over the weekend, you can get onto USA Testprep and watch videos and complete assignments to help you prepare. Keep track of what you do for extra credit.
Algebra 1 Week of Nov 30 - Dec 4
We started on Unit 2B this week. On Monday, we took some time to finish the Unit 2A Test that we started before the Thanksgiving holiday. Tuesday through Thursday we were missing many students because of the 9th Literature EOC. On Friday, we will continue with translating word problems into one and two step equations and solving them.
