ESOL US History Week of February 22 - 26

This week we are wrapping up the Civil War and Reconstruction. We watched America: The Story of US, the Civil War episode and will complete the Civil War and Reconstruction cloze notes. The quiz over the Civil War is Friday, and the Domain 2 test is next Wednesday. Just before the Winter Break, each of you was assigned a Civil War personality to research. I will explain the Fakebook activity on Friday after the quiz. We will have several different types of review activities and games before the test on Wednesday, so regular attendance is critical to your success.

Algebra 1 Week of February 22 - 26

This week we finished Unit 3A and began on Unit 3B by learning about factoring a GCF (Greatest Common Factor). On Friday, we will begin factoring polynomials by grouping. If you still have difficulties with your integer rules (positive and negative signs), this is a good time to practice because knowledge of these rules is critical to factoring polynomials.

US History Week of February 1 - 5

Access testing has limited us some because we have had several students out for testing. We began the 2nd Domain that covers US Expansion through the Civil War and Reconstruction. We completed the first set of notes today, and will have a quiz on Tuesday. Everyone needs to turn in the Anti-Federalist vs. Federalist mini-DBQ and the Louisiana Purchase Timeline mini-project. I am enjoying the discussions we have in this class, and I appreciate your questions and thoughtful comments.
