World Literature Week of November 28 - December 2

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday. Welcome back. We will focus on finishing The House on Mango Street and testing on it, and we will begin our study of Julius Caesar.

World History Week of November 28 - December 2

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving Break. We have a lot of history to cover in the three and a half weeks left in the semester. Our current unit covers the event leading up to World War 1 and the actual war itself. We will have notes and activities to discover this fascinating time in world history.

US History Week of November 28 - Dec 2

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. We only have about three and a half weeks left in the semester. Remember that the EOC is scheduled for December 12. We will spend our time between now and then finishing Domain 5 and reviewing for the EOC. If you didn't turn in your Propaganda Project before the break, be sure to get it turned in ASAP.

We will test on Unit 7 on Tuesday. Monday will be dedicated to teaching some last minute odds and ends and review. As soon as the test is complete on Tuesday, we will begin the next unit. Remember that the Unit 7 reading packet is due Tuesday. Many of you have already turned it in. Also, remember that the Hall of Fame project is due Friday, Nov. 18.

One more week before Thanksgiving vacation. Woohoo! We will finish Domain 4 this week and test on Thursday. The other classes are testing on Wednesday, so we will start Domain 5 on Wednesday (as well as reviewing for the test.) Thankfully, the EOC has been moved to Dec. 12, so we have more time to review for that. Remember, remember, you have the Propaganda Poster project due on Friday, Nov 18.

World Literature Week of November 7 - 11

We will write an essay about The Odyssey starting on Monday. We will also continue with The House on Mango Street, reading and discussing vignettes. Since we didn't have the vocab quiz on Friday, we will have it on Monday. Remember that you don't have school on Tuesday. Yippee, a 4 day week for you, not me.

World History Week of November 7 - 11

We are working on Unit 7, which includes Absolutism, the Enlightenment, and Revolutions. It is a meaty unit, and we have limited time, so I appreciate your patience with taking notes, and working hard. Keep working on your HOF Explorers project which is due Nov. 18.

US History Week of November 7 - 11

We just finished WWII and will move into the Cold War, which includes the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Keep working on your Propaganda Poster projects. We just got word that the EOC will be on December 6.
