World History Week of February 27 - March 3

Welcome back from the Winter Break. We will start on Unit 4, the Middle Ages in Europe, on Monday. We will have a reading guide for chapters 13 and 14 rather than a Mining the Standards assignment for this unit. There are also some other mini projects for this unit. We will finish the Mongol DBQ on Monday and give some time for presenting the Constantinople projects as well.

World History Week of February 6 - 10

We finished Unit 2 on Friday, and I was really pleased with the grades. No one failed! What a huge improvement from Unit 1. We will start on Unit 3 The Rise of Islam on Monday. If you have not turned in your Mining the Standards from Units 1 or 2, it is really hurting your grade. Also, I only received the Roman Republic and Roman Empire Reading Guide from one person last week. Please get it in ASAP.

World Literature Week of February 6 - 10

Access testing is over! We lost 3 days to Access testing, so we need to jump  back in on Monday. We will definitely be starting The House on Mango Street this week. We will finish up with Gilgamesh, and read about the flood story from the Old Testament of the Bible and compare the two accounts. We will have a vocab test on Friday. Also, we will write our Biopoem this week. Anyone who hasn't turned in their Logo Piece needs to do that. It is a major assignment.
