World History Week of March 27 - 31

We will begin our new unit on Asia and the Muslim Empires on Monday, but the test over Unit 6 (the unit we just finished) will be Tuesday. This next unit will not have a unit test. There will be a project that will be due Friday, and we will have a quiz rather than a test.

World Literature Week of March 27 - 31

This is a big week. We will have the Vocabulary Quiz on Monday, the Unit 1B test on Tuesday, and the Mango Street Project is due Friday. Other than that, we will continue in the Mango Street book and begin the next unit in the textbook.

This week is a one week unit on Exploration and the Americas. I will be out Monday, and I've left work for you to do. On Tuesday, we will have the notes over the unit, and the test will be Friday. I'll add the link for the review game after we've played it once.

World Literature Week of March 20 - 24

I will be out on Monday, but I've left plenty of work for you to do. Complete the Vocab exercises and read and complete work on the story, Sundiata. We will continue to work on Mango Street and Wisdom Literature. Our Vocab Quiz will be Friday, and our unit test over Wisdom Literature will be Tuesday, March 28.

World Literature Week of March 13 - 17

We will continue to work on Wisdom Literature. The formative assessment over Rumi (5 questions) will be on Friday. The summative assessment on Unit 1B will be next week, probably mid week. Keep working on the Mango Street Project, and we will continue to read and add to the Figurative Language Journal. A new Vocab list will be handed out on Monday, with the Vocab quiz on Friday, March 24.

World History Week of March 6 - 10

As previously announced, the test on Unit 4 will be Tuesday, March 7. On Monday, we will do review activities, including a Kahoot game. I will post the link to the game on the blog after we play the game in class. Starting Wednesday, we will begin Unit 5 on the Renaissance. Several of you still haven't turned in the Mining the Standards from Unit 3.

World Literature Week of March 6 - 10

We will continue with the unit on Wisdom Literature this week as well as reading vignettes from The House on Mango Street. The Mango Street project has been assigned and is due on March 30. If you are absent, remember to ask a classmate about the Figurative Language journal. The Vocabulary Quiz is on Friday, March 10. We will continue to work on Vocab games to review for it.
