ESOL American Lit Week of November 26 - 30

The American Lit EOC is this week, Wednesday through Friday. We will start ours at the beginning of 1st Block (beginning of the school day) in Computer Lab 2009. On Monday and Tuesday, we'll do EOC prep. Also on Tuesday, there is an EOC swap during 1st block. I will get the details for attendance and give out tickets on Monday.

ESOL World Literature Week of November 26 - 30

Our main priorities are finishing The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian and learning the research process. Remember that the Tic-Tac-Toe project is due the Friday before final exams.

ESOL US History Week of November 26 - 30

This week we will finish with Domain 6 and test on Friday. The EOC is December 10th and 11th, so we have some time after finishing Domain 6 to prepare for the EOC.

ESOL American Lit Week of November 12 - 16

We only have one week until Thanksgiving Break, which means we only have one week and 2 days to prepare for the EOC. We will continue to study Transcendentalism and focus on EOC review activities.

ESOL World Literature Week of November 12 - 16

This week we will focus on completing as much of The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian as possible. Remember to keep up with your chapter questions as we read. On Tuesday, we will have the Unit 2B Summative Assessment. The link to the review game is posted on last weeks blog post. Also, keep in mind that the "Part-time Indian" Tic-Tac-Toe was assigned. This project will take several hours of work on your part outside of class, so do not put it off til the last minute. It will be due on Friday, December 14.

ESOL US History Week of November 12 - 16

We only have five days until the Thanksgiving break! We will continue to learn about the modern era, focusing on the new millennium. This week will be mostly project based, with a few small projects based on the recent presidents and recent historic events. We will have a test on Domain 6 the Friday after you get back from the Thanksgiving break, November 30.

ESOL American Lit Week of November 5 - 9

We will begin the Springboard Unit 4 on Transcendentalism this week. Also, we will begin practicing for the EOC which is November 28, 29, and 30.

ESOL World Literature Week of November 5 - 9

Monday will be the Argument Vocab Quiz. No school on Tuesday, and Wednesday will be the in-class timed Argument Essay. I'm anticipating that the Unit 2B test will be on Friday. We will begin to read The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian.

Update: The Unit 2B Test will be on Tuesday, November 13.

ESOL US History Week of November 5 - 9

This week we will discuss the 50s and 60s from a social and political standpoint rather than a Cold War standpoint.  We will have a quiz on Friday. Remember no school on Tuesday!
