World History Week of May 8 - 12

We will finish Unit 10 and test on Thursday. We will cover the material in Unit 11 and review for the Final Exam for the rest of the semester. I'm not sure when the SLO will be, but it will be in the next two weeks. On May 17th, my father, John Overcash, will come to talk to us about the Vietnam War.

World Literature Week of May 8 - 12

On Monday, we will finish watching the two movies we started and begin an essay about To Kill a Mockingbird. We will finish reading The House on Mango Street this week and write a Literary Analysis essay.

World History Week of May 1 - 5

The test over Unit 9 is Tuesday, May 2. I will post the Kahoot and the Flipquiz for it after class on Monday. We will quickly get started on Unit 10 and plan to test Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week. Sorry for the crunch, but all of the World History classes are experiencing this. World Literature Week of May 1 - 5

We will continue to read Mango Street until we finish it. We will have a short unit on Chinese Literature that we will start this week. We will learn about writing a literary analysis essay  that will be due after we finish Mango Street.

World History Week of April 24 - 28

This week, we will begin Unit 9 on Industrialization, Imperialism, and World War I. This will be a fast unit, and I will announce the test date as soon as I have it from the group of World History teachers.
