The Definition of an American essay is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday. Several of you did not turn in the "Pink Houses" Annotation, and since it was the only grade in Speaking/Listening, it dropped your grades considerably. Turn those in for credit. We will continue to work through Unit 1, by focusing on the Declaration of Independence, and reading other writings that focus on the American Dream. We will finish "The Great Gatsby" movie this week and complete some quickwrites about how it speaks to the idea of the American Dream.
