Welcome back from Fall break! I hope it was great.
We will be starting on Unit 2 in the textbook. The theme is persuasion and the text we will be studying is The Crucible by Arthur Miller. It is a play about the Salem Witch Trials in 1692, but it is also about McCarthyism in the 1950's. I just visited Salem on Saturday, so I learned all about the history of the event. We will begin by studying some Puritan primary documents to understand the religious beliefs that led to the witch trials.
